On Monday, December 12, 2022, Consul General of the Republic of India in the Kurdistan Region Mr. Subhash C. Kain paid a visit the University of Zakho and was warmly received in audience by his excellency Assist. Prof Dr. Karwan F. Jacksi, Vice President of the University for Students Affairs, and Dr. Nizar E. Ali, Director of International Relations Affairs at the University of Zakho. In this visit, many significant topics were discussed and evaluated by both sides. Moreover, Mr. Subhash C. Kain delivered a seminar at the Hall of Khalil Khayali at the Faculty of Humanities in the presence of several university staffs, members and students. 

Throughout the consul’s visit to the University of Zakho many programs and scholarships in the field of Engineering, Leadership, Economics, Education, Technology, and social Science were granted to the students and staff of the University. Furthermore, a sector of the library was devoted to the books that were gifted to the University by the Consul General so that the University students get benefits of it. 

At the end of the visit, both sides expressed their great pleasure for this visit and anticipated to strengthen the scientific relations for mutual interest.
